Nobody likes you when you're 23

My friends say I should act my age

Raised in the orphanage, Axel's always been a trouble maker. He is very easily described as rude, abrasive, and most of the time seeming not to care, Axel does not easily make friends. He has a bit of a "public face" that is very hard for people to see through.

But the few who can view him in that special way find a friend who is loyal to the end, and who will do absolutely anything at all for them. His feistier, happier side is more apparent when he is around people he cares for. He's wild and fun, and can always guarentee you a hetic ride when your around him. He's very much like a drug, something that makes you happy and you just keep coming back for more.

He can be quite the comedian, but sometimes his playful tricks can go a little to far when he does not know someone well enough. When he does hurt someone with a prank, his active guilty conscience can go into overdrive, but sadly he's really not one for apologies.

Other than all that, he's pretty care-free. He loves his job, and loves the much more relaxed setting of the university.

But keep in mind Axel can truly be a puzzle, and sometimes even he can't figure out all the pieces.

He set the science lab on fire ten times.

And only one of those was on accident. Axel's always been a rebel, never bowing his head to authority. His life at the orphanage is not really of note, since he was one of the children who never cared about parents. His way of thinking was that if his parents did not want him, there was no point in his wanting them, and less authority was always better. He ran the caretakers in the orphanage in a merry circle, and they were only to happy to send him off to school.

Axel was his normal self, not making grades that were good enough to praise yet bad enough to warrent punishment. (He never did anything unless he found it fun.) That is, until the fifth grade. When he was introduced to science lab.

Teachers were not fully stupid and knew that fifth grade boys should not be giving a full lab, so not very much happened. A few chances at cutting things open, a little bit of fire to demonstrate some element colors so they could have a little fun on a boring day. But Axel knew that they were holding back, and managed to convince his instructor to let him use some real pyrotechnics on his project of a volcano.

The school spent almost 200 dollars removing the black smear from the gym floor. Even then there is a lingering smell.

Every grade after that was given a warning about Axel. But even so, he managed to worm his way inside every cabnit and locked door, giving himself a better knowledge about chemicals than most of his teachers. As he rose through soaring success in science, and even a little in math, Axel found a way of life he started to think he could live by. He purely enjoyed mixing chemicals, and applied what he learned in science and physics in pranks that were becoming rapidly more elaborate.

He graduated high school with more science awards and offers for scholarships than he could count. Choosing a few of the more lenient offers in the way of grades, Axel found an apartment, a job and joined the ranks of Balamb University. After a mildly hectic first year, he settled on Chemical Engineering and a goal of setting the record for hazing freshmen.
